Arrival/Departure Casablanca Or Marrakech
– Day 1: Casablanca
Arrival in Casablanca Airport. Your local tour guide will meet you then escort you to your hotel (depending on time of arrival).
– Day 2: Casablanca – Rabat
After breakfast at hotel, you will have a short city tour of Casablanca, the largest city in Morocco; it is the heart of commerce and industry, you will visit Hassan II mosque built on water alongside the Atlantic Ocean. Later on, you will depart to Rabat. Stopping for lunch then having a sightseeing tour of the administrative capital of Morocco. You will visit the Royal Palace, The Mausoleum of Mohamed V and the Hassan Tower, the minaret of incomplete mosque initiated by The Almohad ruler, Yaacoub al-Mansour. You may also visit The Kasbah des Oudaias, white houses with blue painted parapets located near to the Atlantic coast and overnight at hotel.
– Day 3: Rabat – Meknes
After breakfast at hotel, you will travel to Meknes then to the nearby city Fes. Meknes is the third Imperial city of Morocco with its famous door, known as “The Versailles of Morocco. You will explore Bab El Mansour, one of the most beautiful gateways. Continue your sightseeing tour by visiting the Mausoleum of Moulay Ismail. You will have time for lunch then visit the Old and new Medina. Later on, you will visit the village of Moulay Idriss Zerhoun, one of the most sacred sites, which is a place of pilgrimage for Moroccans. Afterward you will discover the ancient Roman ruins of Volubilis. Finally drive to Fes.
– Day 4: Fes.
Today after breakfast, you will have a sightseeing tour to explore the Royal city of Fès. Morning will be the visit the medieval Medina (old city) with its ramparts and narrow streets, declared as UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1981. You will see the 16th Century Merinid Tombs Ruins. You will visit the Bouanania and the Attarine Medersa constructed in the early 14th century by the Merinides, the Karaouine Mosque (The ancient educational center of Islamic learning), and the Nejjarine Marble Fountain. You will have a break for lunch at a typical Moroccan restaurant. Continuing on your visit, you will view the decorated gate of Bab Boujeloud, the medieval tanneries, the Royal Palace .Then visit of the Souks (local markets) where merchants and craftsmen sell their hand-made jewelry, leather goods, copperware and pottery and accommodation at a hotel.
– Day 5: Fes – Ifran – Azrou – Midelt. (B.D)
Today early morning, you will travel through the middle Atlas via Ifran “Moroccan Switzerland” and Azrou. You will have a stop at the cedar forest for a visit to Cedre Goraud Tree where you will see Barbary apes. From here, we drive further south passing by several towns and you will get the opportunity to view nomads living in tents alongside the way. You will also see the volcanic rocks. Our next stop is in Midelt where you will enjoy your lunch. Rest of the time in your own leisure at hotel, accommodation & dinner at a hotel.
– Day 6: Midelt – Errachidia- Erfoud- Dunes de Merzouga (B.D)
After breakfast, continuing our drive by crossing the Tizi N’Talghomt Pass (1907m) while enjoying the panoramic views. You will also cross Ziz Gorge and the tunnel. Near Errachidia, you will see the Barrage Hassan Al-Dakhil, which has turquoise blue water. Continue our drive to Erfoud, you will have stop for a panoramic view of Aoufous palmeraie along Ziz River. Arriving Erfoud and crossing the off road to reach the hotel situated on the foot of the dunes. You will experience a camel ride to reach the desert camp in the middle of dunes where you will spend the night, enjoy your evening, dine under the stars and sleep in Nomad Berber tent.
– Day 7: Merzouga – Rissani – Erfoud – Tineghir – Todra Gorges.
Waking up by the call of your guide very earlier to watch the sunrise then enjoying breakfast. You will trek back to your hotel where you can have hot shower and get ready for the new journey. We will depart to Rissani, you will have a visit to Zawiya Moulay Ali ash-Sharif and you may investigate the Souk (local market) with the opportunity to see the Fondouks where donkeys gather. Continuing on our drive toward Tinjdad passing by Erfoud “the capital of marble fossil». You will view the Khatarat (Canal irrigation system) on our route. Our next stop is in Tinjdad where you will have lunch. Later on, you will have the chance to stop for a panoramic view of the river. Continuing on the road alongside the river to reach the gorges where you will hike/Walk on foot through this stunning place while enjoying the views of high rock walls (up to 300 meters). Dinner and overnight stay in a hotel or Riad
– Day 8: Todra Gorge – Valley of roses – El-Kelâa M’Gouna – Ouarzazate.
Today you will travel to Ouarzazate via Boumalne du Dadès, El-Kelaâ M’Gouna and Skoura. We will continue our road to reach El-Kelaâ M’Gouna where you will enjoy your lunch. Later on, continuing our drive to Ouarzazate while enjoying the views of Valley of Roses, the valley of one thousand Kasbahs and Skoura palms groves. Finally, you will arrive to Ouarzazate; you will admire the view of Kasbah of Taourirt, built by the Glaoui dynasty. Dinner and spend the night at the Hotel
– Day 9 : Ouarzazate – Aït BenHaddou – Marrakech.
This morning after breakfast you may visit the Atlas films Studios before we head to the village of Aït Benhaddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site where you will visit the exotic Kasbah named after it. This Kasbah is situated on a hill along the fertile Ounila River; it becomes famous due to its role in hosting numerous films such as: The Man Who Would Be King, Jewel of the Nile, Jesus of Nazareth, The Message, Lawrence of Arabia, The Mummy, and Gladiator. You will have a break for lunch. Afterward we continue across the Tizi-n-Tichka Pass (2260m). Stopping along the way for photos and enjoying the panoramic views of High Atlas Mountains along with Berber villages located alongside the road. Arrival to Marrakech.
– Day 10: Marakech.
Today can be devoted to sightseeing in Marrakech, the imperial city of the South. You will visit the Koutoubia Mosque and admire its tower, the 16th century Saadian Tombs; all decorated in colourful mosaic tiles, the 19th century Bahia Palace with its beautiful eastern Architecture. You will have a break for lunch. In the afternoon, you will have time to explore the fascinating Souks (local markets) and the narrow alleys around the Djemâa El-Fna Square. In the evening, you will be enchanted with snake charmers, singers, acrobats, dancers, narrators and storytellers – moving from one group to another and spend the night in a hotel.
– Day 11: Marrakech – Essaouira.
This morning after breakfast, we will leave Marrakech “the red city” toward Essaouira, the Old Portuguese city. You may visit an Argan factory run by women and get to know about the process of making Argan oil. You will explore the port of the Coastal tourist town of Essaouira. Enjoy a fresh seafood lunch in the medina. The afternoon is at your leisure for a personal exploration; you can swim and relax on the beach.
– Day 12: Essaouira – Safi – Oualidia – El Jadida – Casablanca
After breakfast, we will leave Essaouira toward Casablanca “the commercial center of Morocco” via the coastal road while admiring the views. We will pass by Safi then to Oualida where you will enjoy delicious seafood in this wonderful place. After lunch, we will continue to Casablanca passing by El Jadida (known with Mazagan); the Portuguese established this old medina in 1513. Arrival to Casablanca.
– Day 13: Airport Transfer
After breakfast at hotel, transfer to the Airport depending your flight departure time.
